Condition of Competition

Eligibility: Entries are open to Male Senior Amateur Golfers Entries are open to male amateur golfers who reached their 50th birthday on or before October 10, 2014. Applicants must have a USGA handicap index of 4.0 or less. Entry Procedure: All players, including those that are exempt, must apply on an official Culver’s Midwest Senior entry form located at www.midwestsenior.org. Copies of an original entry form are acceptable. Late, incomplete or inaccurate entry forms will not be accepted. The competition has a designated field limit of 80 players. Entries for the Culver’s Midwest Senior championship are accepted on a first in basis until the entry deadline. The Championship Committee reserves the right to reject an entry at any time.

Electronic Measuring Devices: In accordance with USGA Rules of Golf, the Note under Rule 14-3 for all TMGA Championshipsis in effect. Therefore, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.) the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional information function is actually used. Code of Conduct: Contestants (and their caddies) are to observe proper golf etiquette at all times. Any abuse or disrespect of fellow competitors, officials, spectators, employees of the host facility, or other persons conducting or attending the Culver’s Midwest Senior can be grounds for disqualification from the event, and possible rejection of entry for future events. Such abuse may be verbal or physical or threat thereof and includes, but is not limited to: the use of obscene language, physical damage to property or equipment including that of Dalhousie Golf Club, and being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during a competitive round. Dress Code: Appropriate golf attire is required at the Culver’s Midwest Senior. This includes collared shirts with sleeves that must be properly tucked in at all times, Bermuda length shorts, or slacks. The dress code of the host facility will prevail if there is any question. Wait List: Entries received after the field limit has been reached will be placed on a “waitlist” for that event. Applicants will be ranked on the waitlist in the order their application was received by the Culver’s Midwest Senior. The first 20 contestants who do not get the opportunity to play will receive an exemption into the following year’s event. Any spots in the field that become available will then be filled in accordance with the ranked waitlist. The Culver’s Midwest Cup will use the waitlist up until 6:00 PM of the night prior to Round One. After that time, any player on the waitlist may exercise their right to walk up on site.
